Job Description

Approximately 1000 cases are handled and processed annually by the Community Planning unit. The overall mission of the case officer is to safeguard the interests of the organization and to clearly state claims for both existing and newly planned facilities in referral responses. This protects existing facilities and facilitates the expansion of the transmission network and associated facilities. A case officer weighs different perspectives and assesses the scope and consequences of the referrals received by the authority.

The role of the case officer involves coordinating and responding to referrals within the framework of various legislations such as the Environmental Code, the Electricity Act, the Road Act, the regulation on network concessions, and the construction of railways. The case officer has many internal contacts and coordinates and compiles referral responses. Common contacts include authorities, other network owners, courts, and other stakeholders.

Cases handled include:

• Establishment and amendment of regulations in nature reserves
• Quarries
• Consultations from other network owners prior to their concession applications and consultations during concession applications
• Dams/dam safety, not from the court
• Consultations for electricity producers (wind power, solar parks, battery storage facilities)
• Cases related to the Swedish Transport Administration (for example, road plans, railway plans, load-bearing regulations)
• Heat pumps
• Water service plan
• Energy plan

Additionally, development work within the unit may be included.

Mandatory requirements:

• University degree in community planning or similar.
• At least 2 years of work experience in community planning regarding the handling and preparation of cases related to the Planning and Building Act.
• Good knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Environmental Code, the Electricity Act, the Road Act, the Planning and Building Act, etc.
